Let’s embark on a journey towards a more eco-conscious lifestyle…

We create the future of our planet each day. The actions we take today will impact the world we live in tomorrow. By learning to live a more sustainable lifestyle we can lessen our impact on the Earth’s natural resources.
It’s estimated that life began in the world’s oceans 3.1 Billion to 3.4 Billion years ago. Life on land began much later, around 400 Million years ago. Think of it this way… jellyfish date back farther than sharks and dinosaurs! Needless to say, marine life has played and still plays an important role in the planet’s ecosystems. In fact, invertebrates make up 95% of all the animal diversity on earth.
Sometimes we may forget that we are just 1 of the estimated 8.7 Million species on this planet. Although we share this earth with many others, WE are the ones that have the most power to influence it. Our stewardship of the planet determines the quality of the global environment for us, and for generations that inherit it.
Sustainability involves maintaining our quality of life in the present without compromising the well-being of future generations. In order to maintain our quality of life as humans and the diversity of life on our planet, we must improve the way we consume. Minimizing the production of pollutants and consumption of nonrenewable resources is necessary to preserve the overall health of the environment.
Without change we will deplete nonrenewable resources, thousands of species may become extinct, and our atmosphere may be damaged beyond repair.
